It’s been four days since the big cargo ship got stuck in one of the world’s busiest canals, and the operation of getting it out proved to be a real logistical nightmare. And this week’s five links explore all things floating.

The queue in the Suez Canal is growing day by day – and the only alternative to get to Europe or Asia is to take a two week trip around Africa. The creation of the canal has shorten that trip to a 12 hour transit.

And what would the Ever Given’s rescue mission be without a series of memes? The one with the couch is my favourite.
